The Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship offers consultation and a variety of business services and networking opportunities for entrepreneurs in Central Kentucky and to alumni of the University of Kentucky. Through assistance in developing a business plan, the Von Allmen Center helps determine if an idea has commercial value, provides access to local business partners and service providers, and helps secure sources of funding.
The Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship was established with the support of a major gift form Douglas J. Von Allmen, a 1965 graduate of UK's College of Business and Economics. The Center also serves as the Lexington Innovation and Commercialization Center which is part of the Governor's Office for the New Economy.
